Sir,
It is unfortunate that the Finance Minister did not table his letters
to the World Bank earlier when the new policy was announced by the
government. But the contents of the letter were broadly known to
MPs and the public at large and a number of articles too were written
on the changes which were to be implemented. It is strange that
while same politicians and MPs are clamouring for economic freedom,
nobody asks the question as to who made us economically bankrupt
so that we had to seek the World Bank loan.
The self-seeking politicians are hounding the Finance Minister but
we cannot afford to lose in the middle of the implementation of
a new policy. If that happens, the nation will again recede towards
economic disaster.
